As a Global Compensation Analyst, you’ll be expected to:
- Collaborate and Consult: Work closely with compensation team members on various ongoing projects, including quarterly compensation cycle program competitiveness, salary ranges, and market trends.
- Data Analysis: Develop tools to model, interpret, and analyze external data, and use a data-driven approach to make compensation recommendations and resolve issues.
- Compliance and Regulations: Maintain and apply knowledge related to compliance and government regulations regarding pay, including FLSA statutes.
- Salary Surveys: Participate in salary survey data audits, validation, benchmarking, and making informed recommendations.
- Partnerships: Partner with people analytics, people operations, and finance teams to gather information and help tell Yelp’s story with numbers.
- Compensation Planning: Assist in developing compensation plans, policies, practices, and documentation.
What You Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, Yelp requires the following qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least two years of relevant compensation experience, with a preference for those who have worked with Workday Advanced Compensation.
- Certification: A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to analyze large amounts of information to identify patterns and make informed decisions.
- HR Experience: Sufficient HR compensation experience to ask the right questions during the discovery and leadership process.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-Solving: A passion for analytics and problem-solving, coupled with the ability to conduct research, formulate conclusions, and present solutions to business issues.
